BERLIN — Financial technology company Bunch secured $35 million in a Series B funding round led by Portage, the firm said in a statement on Wednesday. The fresh capital brings the total financing raised by the Berlin-based enterprise to more than $58 million since its inception, according to official corporate filings released by the company.
Chief executive officers Levent Altunel and Enrico Ohnemüller founded Bunch in 2021 to automate and streamline private equity and venture capital fund management processes that historically relied on fragmented software and manual reporting. The enterprise reported an Annual Recurring Revenue growth rate of 300 percent throughout 2025, alongside a net revenue retention rate of 156 percent, proving substantial market demand for automated compliance and reporting tools.
Bunch currently provides specialized software services to more than 150 fund managers and 12,000 Limited Partners scattered across multiple jurisdictions in Europe. Notable clients utilizing the proprietary platform include London-based Passion Capital and Hummingbird VC, both of which manage substantial venture portfolios across the region, according to corporate disclosures published by the company in 2025.
Illuminate Financial, Motive Partners, Cherry Ventures, and Fintech Collective also participated in the $35 million Series B round alongside lead investor Portage. Established United States competitors such as Carta and Juniper Square operate primarily in North America, leaving a complex regulatory and cross-border gap in Europe that Bunch attempts to service across at least 3 distinct international markets.
The newly acquired capital will directly facilitate Bunch's targeted corporate expansion into Germany, the United Kingdom, and Luxembourg over the next 12 months, the company said in an announcement. Hélène Falchier, a Partner at Portage, said in a statement that Bunch has successfully built the exact technological infrastructure required by the more than 150 European fund managers operating in the territory.
