### Challenges in the Logistics Sector
The logistics industry, despite being one of the largest sectors in Europe, is significantly lagging in the adoption of digital technologies. Representing a vast market valued at €10 trillion, it remains notably under-digitised, with less than 40% of its workflows automated. Approximately 300 million pallets are transported daily across over nine million companies in Europe, yet the sector grapples with inefficiencies, misplaced equipment, and labor-intensive processes, costing businesses around €50 billion annually. These stark figures highlight the urgent need for modern solutions in logistics.
### Funding to Drive Automation
In response to these challenges, the Berlin-based startup Logistica OS has recently secured €1.5 million in pre-seed funding. The investment was primarily led by NAP, with contributions from Daphni and a group of angel investors, including Javier de la Fuente, Nono Konopka, Daniel Khachab, Andrew Shaw, Jonas Meynert, Tony Kula, and Hermann Ude. The funding will enable Logistica OS to develop AI-driven agents specifically designed to automate repetitive tasks within supply chain operations. Over the next two years, the company aims to assist more than 100 organizations in enhancing their operational workflows.
### Innovating Supply Chain Management
Founded in 2025 by Flavio Alario, Kenan Deniz, and Florian Lehmann, Logistica OS combines extensive logistics experience with cutting-edge AI technology. Alario, who previously worked with DHL and other logistics firms, emphasizes the goal of providing logistics teams with the software they require to streamline operations. He notes that the inception of Logistica OS was driven by firsthand experiences of the chaos often found in logistics operations. The company’s flagship product, PalletClaim, addresses a critical issue in logistics: the reconciliation of pallet accounts. Utilizing advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) models trained on thousands of real-world documents, PalletClaim can read handwritten delivery slips, extract pertinent data, and automatically update partner accounts.
### Unique Features and Competitive Edge
What sets Logistica OS apart in a crowded market is its comprehensive automation approach. According to Alario, the firm is pioneering an agentic solution that offers end-to-end automation without heavy reliance on human intervention. PalletClaim not only digitizes manual processes but completely automates them, significantly reducing the time required for tasks like reconciling accounts and managing delivery claims. The system is crafted to adapt to the unique workflows of each customer through a flexible builder, facilitating seamless automation even in complex networks involving multiple partners. Data processing is conducted within a fully EU-hosted infrastructure, ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.
### Commitment to Diversity and Future Goals
In terms of team composition, Alario highlights the diversity within the eight-member team, which includes representatives from four different nationalities. The company is committed to maintaining a balanced workforce as it expands, with plans to hire in sales and marketing. Looking ahead, Alario articulates a vision for the next three to five years that focuses on increasing the adoption of AI agents across supply chain operations. The goal is to automate tasks that have traditionally been error-prone and manual, transforming them into reliable, efficient processes.
As Mey Cezairli, a partner at NAP, points out, the logistics field has remained under-digitized due to its inherent complexity. The team at Logistica OS aims to navigate these challenges with their deep knowledge and innovative AI solutions. Cristian Pinto, an investor from Daphni, adds that by being AI-native, Logistica OS is positioned to unlock substantial productivity improvements for retailers in an industry that has long relied on outdated methods. With this strategic funding and innovative approach, Logistica OS is poised to make significant strides in revolutionizing the logistics landscape.
