Airis Labs Secures $60 Million in Funding
Airis Labs, a Washington, D.C.-based AI defense technology company, has officially emerged from stealth mode, announcing a substantial funding round totaling $60 million. This includes a significant $31 million Series B led by PSG Equity, with support from TLV Partners, Stepstone Group, Redseed Ventures, and various angel investors.
Innovative Approach to User-Generated Field Intelligence
<pFounded in 2023 by veterans of national security and enterprise technology, Airis Labs is pioneering a new category termed User-Generated Field Intelligence. The company specializes in converting unstructured visual data from a variety of sources—including drones, CCTV, body cameras, and social media—into structured intelligence that can be utilized by analysts and AI systems in real-time.
<pAccording to Noam Friedman, co-founder and CEO of Airis Labs, “The next generation of AI used by government agencies needs to understand the physical world: what happened, where it happened, what changed, what matters, and what requires human judgment. Airis gives analysts and operators the clarity to act faster and with greater confidence.”
Focus on Scalability and Real-World Application
<pUnlike many AI platforms developed in controlled environments, Airis Labs was operational within months of its inception. The company aims to provide a production-ready system from the outset, which sets it apart from competitors who often rely on fragmented, in-house data science projects that struggle to scale.
<pAiris sells its enterprise software to government and public safety clients on a subscription basis, with pricing tailored to mission scope, data volume, and support needs. Currently, women constitute about 40% of the workforce, including one-third of the board, contributing to a diverse team that blends military experience with expertise in AI and enterprise software.
Plans for Expansion and Growth
<pThe newly acquired capital is earmarked for expanding operations in the U.S., enhancing product development, and increasing headcount. With around 45 employees across the U.S. and Israel, Airis Labs plans to double its workforce by the end of the year, focusing on roles in engineering, product development, and customer deployment.
