Significant Donation for Flood Relief
In a crucial move to assist those impacted by the recent severe flooding in northern Veracruz and southern Tamaulipas, Woodside Energy has pledged a donation of MXN$400,000, which is approximately equivalent to US$20,000. This financial support is directed to the Mexican Red Cross, which plays a vital role in delivering humanitarian aid to affected individuals and families struggling to recover from the disaster. The funds are earmarked for essential supplies such as food, hygiene kits, medical assistance, and care packages, as well as supporting search and rescue operations in the flooded areas.

In response to this donation, Ana Laura Robles Cruz, who serves as the National Director of Resource Mobilization for the Mexican Red Cross, expressed her gratitude, noting the significant impact that Woodside’s generosity will have on the communities hit hard by the floods. She emphasized that the contribution is expected to provide substantial relief to families grappling with the aftermath of this natural disaster.

Daniel Kalms, the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer International at Woodside Energy, acknowledged the tragic circumstances faced by the residents of the Huasteca region. After being informed about the flooding and consulting with the governors of Tamaulipas and Veracruz, Kalms noted that it was imperative for Woodside to extend assistance to the relief efforts spearheaded by the Mexican Red Cross.
