Winamp‘s Llama Group Adds Playlisting, Ads

Llama Group's Winamp for Creators platform will launch new playlisting and social media advertising features on September 24th, 2025. These additions aim to simplify music marketing for artists, offering streamlined tools for increased visibility and engagement.

Llama Group announced that its Winamp for Creators platform will add playlisting and social media advertising capabilities starting September 24th, 2025. These enhancements are designed to simplify the music marketing process for artists and music professionals.

The new playlisting feature will allow artists to easily submit their music to curators across major streaming platforms. This aims to improve track visibility and increase exposure to potential listeners.

The social media advertising tools will enable artists to run Meta and TikTok ads directly within the Winamp for Creators dashboard. This integrated approach eliminates the need for artists to manage multiple external advertising platforms. The goal is to make it easier to boost streams, followers, and overall engagement.

Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO of Winamp, explained the reasoning behind these additions. He stated that independent artists shouldn’t be burdened with complex workflows or the use of numerous services just to promote their music. Winamp for Creators, he said, is designed to put these essential marketing tools directly in the hands of the artists.

These new features build upon the existing services offered by Winamp for Creators. The platform already includes music distribution, licensing, copyright collection, Content ID, Fanzone, collectibles, link-in-bio pages, and a multi-channel publishing tool.

Winamp aims to provide a comprehensive platform for artists to manage their careers, connect with fans, and optimize their revenue streams. The company believes this integrated approach offers a significant advantage over using separate, disparate services.

Llama Group, the parent company, positions itself as a leader in the digital music industry. It emphasizes its commitment to innovation and providing solutions that benefit both artists and listeners. The group oversees several entities, including the iconic Winamp platform, Bridger copyright management, and Jamendo music licensing. Their overall goal is to shape the future of the music industry through technological advancements and a focus on empowering creators. The group also operates Hotmix, a digital radio platform.

The company’s next financial report, covering the first half of 2025, is scheduled for release on October 31st, 2025.
