Vivendi Reports Revenue Growth in Q3 2025, Driven by Gameloft

Vivendi announces a revenue increase of 5.2% for the first nine months of 2025, largely attributed to its subsidiary Gameloft's performance in the gaming sector.

Vivendi’s Financial Performance Overview

Vivendi has revealed its financial results for the first three quarters of 2025, reporting revenues amounting to €213 million, which marks a 5.2% increase compared to €203 million during the same timeframe in 2024. This growth is notable when adjusted for constant currency and perimeter. A significant contributor to this positive trend is the performance of Gameloft, the company’s subsidiary known for its video games, which has actively pursued a transformation strategy that has begun to yield substantial results.

Gameloft’s Strategic Advancements

The financial success of Gameloft is particularly evident in its revenues, which reached €210 million for the first nine months of 2025, reflecting a similar 5.2% increase when adjusted for constant currency and perimeter. The breakdown of these revenues shows that the PC and console segment generated €93 million, while the mobile segment contributed €101 million. Notably, revenues from PC and console games represented nearly 45% of Gameloft’s total revenue, showcasing a remarkable 16.5% growth at constant currency compared to the previous year. The top five best-selling titles within this period included popular games such as Disney Dreamlight Valley and Asphalt Legends, which collectively accounted for 58% of Gameloft’s total earnings.

Challenges in Q3 and Future Outlook

Despite the overall positive performance, Vivendi reported a slight downturn in revenue for the third quarter of 2025, with figures dropping to €68 million from €69 million in the same quarter of 2024. This decline was primarily attributed to fluctuations in the gaming segment, as Gameloft experienced a revenue decrease from €69 million to €67 million during this quarter. However, both Yannick Bolloré, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Arnaud de Puyfontaine, Chief Executive Officer, expressed satisfaction with the company’s trajectory and reiterated their commitment to maintaining momentum in operational efficiency and cost management.

Regulatory Developments Affecting Vivendi

Compounding the company’s current financial landscape are ongoing regulatory matters. Following a ruling from the Paris Court of Appeal, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) mandated that Bolloré SE and its controlling figure, Vincent Bolloré, must initiate a public buyout offer for shares of Vivendi SE. This decision is still pending further examination by the French Supreme Court, which is scheduled to conduct a hearing on November 25, 2025. Both Vivendi and Bolloré SE have filed appeals against the AMF’s decision, highlighting the complexities the company faces beyond its immediate financial performance.
