Timekettle, a leading developer of AI-powered translation technology, unveiled its new W4 AI Interpreter Earbuds at the IFA 2025 technology show in Berlin. The earbuds represent a significant advancement in real-time language translation technology.
The W4 earbuds utilize bone-conduction technology for voice capture. This method picks up vibrations from the wearer’s bones, minimizing background noise and ensuring clear audio input, even in loud environments. This technology also reduces sound leakage, enhancing privacy during conversations.
The earbuds boast a sleek, in-ear design for comfortable and discreet use. They are lighter and more portable than their predecessor, the W4 Pro, making them suitable for everyday use. The W4 earbuds are available in navy blue and sandy gold.
Timekettle‘s founder and CEO, Leal Tian, described the W4 as a transformative device for global communication. He highlighted the integration of the company’s proprietary HybridComm™ AI technology, which powers the Babel OS software, enabling natural and intuitive real-time translation.
The W4 earbuds offer several key features. They provide ultra-accurate voice recognition, smooth and natural one-on-one conversations through automatic mode switching, and seamless real-time translation across 42 languages and 95 accents. They also feature effortless one-flip sharing for two-way translation and offer all-day battery life, with up to four hours of continuous translation or eight hours of music playback in standalone mode.
The W4‘s translation capabilities are powered by Babel OS 2.0. This system uses real-time language prediction and contextual learning to achieve a high level of accuracy. It also incorporates advanced AI large language models (LLMs) to distinguish between words that sound alike but have different meanings. Future updates will include AI voice cloning features.
The W4 is the latest addition to Timekettle‘s product line, complementing existing offerings like the W4 Pro, WT2 Edge/W3 earbuds, X1 Interpreter Hub, and T1 and T1 Mini devices. The company aims to continue its leadership in AI-powered multilingual communication.
