TCL Mobile, a prominent player in the mobile technology sector, secured a significant win at the IFA Innovation Awards 2025. The company’s NXTPAPER 60 Ultra smartphone earned the “Best in Tech for Good” award, while the NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet received an honorable mention in the same category. The awards, judged by an independent panel, highlight groundbreaking achievements in product design and engineering.
The NXTPAPER 60 Ultra, the first NXTPAPER 4.0 smartphone, incorporates seven eye-care technologies. These technologies aim to reduce digital eye strain through a combination of hardware and software solutions. Features include low blue light emission, anti-glare and reflection reduction, flicker-free display, and circadian rhythm-optimized screen settings. The phone also provides enhanced protection in dim lighting and replicates a natural paper-like viewing experience. Several leading testing organizations, including TÜV Rheinland and SGS, have certified the device’s eye-care capabilities.
Beyond eye-care, the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra offers a seamless transition from reading to writing. A “Max Ink Mode” minimizes distractions, enabling focused reading and a digital detox. An electromagnetic stylus allows for low-latency writing, complemented by AI tools. Furthermore, a high-quality telephoto camera system with TCL‘s MuseFilm imaging technology enhances the user’s photographic capabilities.
The NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet, the first AI-powered tablet featuring NXTPAPER 4.0, also impressed judges. It shares the eye-care philosophy of its smartphone counterpart, including a personalized eye comfort mode and a smart eye comfort mode that dynamically adjust to user preferences. The 11.5-inch tablet also boasts upgraded NXTPAPER key features and advanced AI tools.
These IFA awards underscore the growing recognition of TCL NXTPAPER‘s vision for digital display technology. TCL Mobile plans to continue developing eye-care displays and human-centric innovations, promoting digital well-being. The company’s commitment to technological advancements focused on user health and comfort is evident in the design and features of both the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra and NXTPAPER 11 Plus. The success of these products highlights TCL‘s ongoing dedication to innovation within the mobile technology sector.
