Sofidel America recently completed the startup of a third paper machine at its integrated facility in Circleville, Ohio. This marks a significant expansion for the company’s largest production site globally.
The new Valmet DCT 200 machine increases the plant’s annual production capacity by 70,000 tons, bringing the total to over 200,000 tons. This contributes to Sofidel‘s overall global production capacity increase to 1,983,000 tons annually.
The project, announced in 2023, represented a substantial $185 million investment. This encompassed the construction of a new building to house the advanced paper machine.
The expansion is expected to generate approximately 80 new jobs in the Circleville area. This reinforces Sofidel‘s positive economic impact on the local community.
