Sky Gold Corp. Plans Nevada Drilling

Sky Gold Corp. (TSXV:SKYG, US:SRKZF) announced plans to begin exploration at its Evening Star property in Nevada. Initial work will focus on the Tower Gold Target, with permits secured for up to nine drill pads. The company anticipates starting drilling this fall.

Sky Gold Corp. (TSXV:SKYG, US:SRKZF) has revealed its exploration plans for the Evening Star property, situated within Nevada‘s productive Walker Lane trend in Mineral County. The company’s immediate focus will be the Tower Gold Target.

Drill permits have been obtained, allowing for the preparation of up to nine drill pads. This area exhibits multiple mineralization styles, including intrusive-related gold (the Tower Gold Target), copper-gold porphyry (High Life Target), and carbonate replacement deposit (CRD)-skarn mineralization (Gold Bug Target).

The Evening Star property is easily accessible by road, lying approximately 16 kilometers east of Hawthorne. The Tower Gold Target, discovered in 2021, shows promising results.

Rock sampling across a one-kilometer by 200-meter area yielded an average of 2.01 grams per tonne of gold, along with significant silver and copper. Peak values were considerably higher. The gold mineralization appears associated with altered granitic rocks and quartz veins. Historical workings, such as shallow shafts and trenches, are present on the site.

Further investigation included soil sampling, revealing peak gold values of 2.83 grams per tonne, and a strong correlation between elevated gold, silver, and copper levels.

The planned drilling program at the Tower Gold Target will investigate a substantial zone of anomalous gold in both soil and bedrock samples. The company interprets this as potentially indicating a distal gold system connected to a larger porphyry copper deposit or another geological event characteristic of the Walker Lane trend.

Sky Gold Corp.‘s CEO, Mike England, expressed optimism about the timing of the exploration, citing the current elevated gold prices as favorable for the project. He confirmed the company’s intention to commence drilling activities this fall.

Previous sampling data, though not fully representative of the overall mineralization, proved useful in assessing the area’s prospectivity. Sky Gold Corp. emphasizes that information about other areas within the Evening Star property is not necessarily indicative of the Tower Gold Target mineralization. The company’s technical disclosures have been reviewed and approved by a qualified person, David Taff, P.Geo.

The company included a standard cautionary statement regarding forward-looking statements in its release. These statements are subject to various risks and uncertainties. The release further clarified that neither the TSX Venture Exchange nor its regulatory services provider accepts responsibility for the accuracy or adequacy of the information provided.
