SalesPatriot Secures €4.2 Million to Revolutionize Defense Procurement

SalesPatriot, a startup based in Poland, has raised €4.2 million to innovate defense procurement processes and expand its operations across Europe.

SalesPatriot Secures Funding for Defense Innovation
SalesPatriot, a startup with roots in both Poland and the United States, has successfully raised €4.2 million in Seed funding aimed at revolutionizing the procurement processes within the defense and aerospace sectors. This funding round was led by the venture capital firm CRV, supplemented by contributions from notable investors such as Pear VC, Y Combinator, and SV Angel, among others. With this latest investment, SalesPatriot has reached a total funding milestone of €5.4 million since its inception. The company’s CEO, Nelson Ray, expressed a strong commitment to establishing the company as the leading resource for defense procurement, emphasizing the critical role of logistics in modern warfare.

Addressing Critical Needs in Defense Procurement
The recent surge in funding for procurement and defense-related technologies reflects broader trends across Europe, particularly in 2025. Many startups are emerging to address the inefficiencies in supply chains, including Mercanis and Nvelop, which have garnered significant investments to enhance their respective procurement platforms. However, SalesPatriot stands out as it focuses specifically on defense procurement, a niche that remains underrepresented, especially from a Polish perspective. According to Benjamin Rhodes-Kropf, the company’s CTO and co-founder, SalesPatriot was designed from the outset to tackle the complexities associated with defense procurement, integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and legacy systems to streamline operations.

Founders with Vision and Expertise
Founded in 2024, SalesPatriot was established by engineers Nelson Ray, Benjamin Rhodes-Kropf, and Maciej Szymczyk, who were motivated by the shortcomings of outdated procurement systems. Both Ray and Szymczyk are alumni of the University of California, Berkeley, while Rhodes-Kropf has an academic background from MIT in AI research. Their combined expertise has enabled them to develop solutions that allow clients to process procurement orders significantly faster, reportedly achieving turnaround times seven times quicker than traditional methods.

Building for the Future
Currently employing a small team of ten, SalesPatriot has ambitious plans to expand its workforce to between 12 and 15 by the end of 2025. This growth will focus on enhancing full-stack development capabilities as well as scaling commercial operations. The opening of SalesPatriot House in Warsaw is another strategic move designed to leverage Poland’s engineering talent while fostering an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration. Caitlin Bolnick Rellas, a general partner at CRV, highlighted the importance of domestic production capabilities in sustaining competitive advantages in defense technologies.

In the coming year, SalesPatriot aims to solidify its presence in the defense sector while exploring opportunities in commercial aviation and venturing into European and Asian markets. The overarching goal is to become a foundational infrastructure provider for critical supply chains spanning various industries, from aerospace to energy. As Bartek Pucek, an investor in SalesPatriot, aptly noted, the company’s innovative approach converts complex procurement challenges into streamlined software solutions, underscoring the vital role logistics plays in contemporary defense operations.
