Rizon lands $2M pre-seed to scale borderless dollar banking

Rizon secures $2M to expand global U.S. dollar banking

Delaware-based fintech Rizon has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding as demand accelerates for borderless access to U.S. dollar banking. The round was led by Market One Capital, a Poland-based venture firm focused on early-stage startups it describes as building the “platforms of tomorrow.”

The company said the capital will be used to scale its user base internationally and expand into markets where access to reliable dollar-denominated financial services remains limited.

Built for freelancers and the global workforce

Rizon was founded by Ignas Survila and Laurynas Jokubaitis, targeting solopreneurs, freelancers, and remote professionals who often earn in dollars through payroll platforms such as Deel. For many of these workers, traditional banking can reduce take-home pay through foreign transaction charges, unfavorable exchange rates, and costly cross-border transfers.

Rizon claims its international transfers can cost up to 86% less than legacy providers, while also lowering local-currency ATM withdrawal fees. The app enables users to deposit, send, receive, and spend dollars across 122 countries and issues Visa cards accepted at more than 100 million merchants and ATMs globally.

Early traction and retention

Launched five months ago, Rizon reports more than 170,000 app installs and month-over-month transaction growth of 245%. The company also points to engagement metrics it says exceed typical early-stage fintech benchmarks, with over a third of new users returning within the first week and 49% remaining active after 30 days.

Positioning as infrastructure

“Banking is going through a change that’s similar to what happened with entertainment when Netflix moved movies from siloed physical formats into the cloud,” said Ignas Survila, CEO and co-founder of Rizon. Market One Capital partner Jacek Lubiński said the firm expects major companies to be built around global dollar banking, and believes Rizon is well-positioned to compete in that shift.
