Powder Mountain, a Utah ski resort primarily owned by Reed Hastings, is implementing several improvements for the 2025-2026 season. The resort, known for its limited daily tickets and absence of mega-passes, focuses on enhancing the experience for its season passholders and the community they form.
Key additions to season pass benefits include eight half-price buddy tickets, allowing passholders to share the mountain experience with friends and family. Passholders will also enjoy early access to the resort on three select dates. Other perks include discounts on lessons, rentals, retail, and dining, as well as free access to the UTA Ski Bus and an OpenSnow account.
The resort is also introducing a new après-ski series, “Timberline Après,” every Saturday at the Timberline Lodge. This new slopeside venue will feature a DJ booth, fire pits, and serve as a viewing area for the new special event terrain park. This park will host events like Grom Fest and TheGoodLife! Rail Jam.
Powder Mountain is bringing back its popular Passholder Weekends, offering exclusive access to the mountain with curated programming and a relaxed atmosphere. These weekends will feature various activities like scavenger hunts and après-ski events.
Families will benefit from a new youth day ticket, providing a more affordable option for children aged 5-12. The resort is also expanding its ski school offerings, introducing evening private lessons and group lessons.
A significant development is the planned construction of a new triple lift in Wolf Canyon, providing access to the previously inaccessible “DMI” area. This will add over 1,000 acres of advanced terrain. While the area won’t open this season, guided backcountry tours will offer early access. The resort is collaborating with Skytrac on the lift’s construction.
The Powder Art Foundation (PAF), a non-profit dedicated to land art, will unveil its first phase of commissions and acquisitions this season. This initiative will add new sculptures and art installations to the mountain landscape.
Returning this year is “Unpacked,” a feature powered by RFID technology that provides passholders with personalized data on their time on the mountain.
Finally, Breeze Airways will continue to offer nonstop flights from Ogden (OGD) to John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA) on Mondays and Fridays.
