Mindbreeze‘s GenAI Confidence Index Shows Growth

Mindbreeze's latest GenAI Confidence Index reveals a significant increase in enterprise confidence regarding GenAI implementation, particularly among top executives. The survey highlights rising belief in vendor capabilities and shifting reasons for delayed adoption. Customer service leads anticipated applications.

Mindbreeze, a global provider of AI-based knowledge management solutions, released its second-half 2025 GenAI Confidence Index Report. The report indicates a growing optimism within businesses about the potential of generative AI.

The survey showed a considerable rise in overall enterprise confidence in GenAI implementation. This confidence increased by five percentage points, from 72 percent to 77 percent, compared to a previous survey earlier in the year. Executive-level confidence remained particularly high, with 82 percent of C-suite executives expressing strong confidence in GenAI‘s potential. Conversely, middle management showed the lowest confidence levels, with 11 percent expressing reservations.

A notable shift in sentiment concerned vendor capabilities. The report revealed a 16 percent increase in confidence in vendors’ ability to successfully implement GenAI solutions and deliver tangible operational benefits. This suggests that businesses are increasingly comfortable outsourcing GenAI implementation.

The survey also highlighted the anticipated applications of GenAI. Customer service emerged as the leading area for GenAI adoption, with 27 percent of respondents prioritizing its use in this domain. IT and marketing followed, at 19 percent and 11 percent respectively, with HR and sales each at 9 percent.

Reasons for not implementing GenAI also underwent a significant transformation. The percentage of respondents citing a lack of perceived benefit dropped dramatically, from 30 percent to 18 percent. However, concerns regarding return on investment (ROI) rose sharply, becoming the primary obstacle to adoption, increasing from 15 percent to 33 percent.

The Mindbreeze survey, conducted online in the United States and Europe between May 19 and July 18, 2025, polled a sample of 9,350 managers and executives involved in business strategy. 689 respondents completed the survey. The company acknowledges potential sources of error inherent in all surveys, including sampling error and response bias.
