LemFi Secures €30M Series B Extension to Expand Services

LemFi’s Ambitious Growth Strategy

LemFi, a fintech application catering to immigrants and global citizens, is set to raise an additional €30 million in its Series B funding round. This significant investment, as reported by Tech Funding News, is expected to bolster the company’s already impressive growth trajectory.

Previous Funding and Growth Milestones

This new funding will supplement the €53 million Series B round that LemFi closed in January 2025. That round was led by Highland Europe and included notable investors such as Left Lane Capital, Palm Drive Capital, Endeavor Catalyst, and Y Combinator.

Founded in 2021 by Ridwan Olalere and Rian Cochran, who previously worked together at OPay, LemFi aims to fill the gap in financial services for immigrants. The app has already attracted over two million customers across the US, UK, and Canada, facilitating money transfers to more than 30 markets.

Impressive Performance and Future Plans

Earlier this year, LemFi reported surpassing $1 billion in monthly transactions, showcasing a remarkable 30% month-on-month growth rate. This performance not only reinforces their current standing but also sets the stage for their plans to diversify beyond remittances, positioning themselves against competitors like Taptap Send, WorldRemit, and Remitly.

Strategic Acquisitions

To solidify its market position, LemFi has been actively pursuing acquisitions. Recently, the company acquired Bureau Buttercrane, a currency exchange service, gaining crucial regulatory approval from Ireland’s central bank. Additionally, the company acquired Pillar, a British credit fintech, which allows them to provide credit access to immigrants without a local financial history—a significant barrier for many.

As LemFi continues to grow and enhance its offerings, it remains focused on addressing the unique financial needs of immigrants, ensuring better access to essential services in a competitive fintech landscape.
