Green Bridge Metals Corporation (CSE:GRBM, OTCQB:GBMCF, FWB:J48) filed a National Instrument 43-101 compliant technical report and mineral resource estimate for its Serpentine Copper-Nickel Project in St. Louis County, Minnesota. The report, effective July 14, 2025, outlines the project’s potential.
The estimate uses a US$10.25/tonne net smelter return (NSR) cutoff. Indicated mineral resources total 21.6 million tonnes, averaging 0.46% copper, 0.16% nickel, and 0.014% cobalt. Inferred resources are significantly larger, at 279.9 million tonnes, with average grades of 0.37% copper, 0.12% nickel, and 0.007% cobalt. A high-grade core zone contains 1.8 million indicated tonnes.
David Suda, President and CEO of Green Bridge, highlighted the project’s strategic importance. He emphasized its size, location, and alignment with U.S. government initiatives aimed at streamlining permitting for critical mineral projects. Suda believes the project is well-positioned to benefit from increasing domestic mining activity.
The Serpentine deposit’s geometry is favorable for open-pit mining, potentially resulting in low strip ratios. However, it’s crucial to note that mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. Furthermore, inferred resources have a lower confidence level than indicated resources and cannot be directly converted to reserves.
Green Bridge plans further exploration in late 2025 and early 2026. This will involve infill drilling to upgrade inferred resources, step-out drilling to explore high-grade zones, and metallurgical testing. Environmental and geotechnical studies will also support advancement toward a preliminary economic assessment and pre-feasibility study.
The project’s location in Minnesota‘s established mining district offers significant advantages. Existing infrastructure, including highways, rail access, grid power, and a skilled workforce, reduces development risk. The proximity to Cleveland-Cliffs’ Northshore Mining Operations provides access to a private rail line connecting to Lake Superior ports, facilitating global shipping.
The Serpentine Project’s alignment with the growing demand for domestically sourced copper, nickel, and cobalt is a key factor. These metals are essential for the clean energy transition, including electric vehicles and renewable energy infrastructure. The project’s scale and location contribute to its potential role in the North American supply chain.
The mineral resource estimate and technical report were prepared by independent qualified persons under NI 43-101. Green Bridge Metals is a Canadian exploration company focused on acquiring and developing critical mineral assets in the Duluth Intrusion area of Minnesota. The company’s portfolio includes properties with potential for various critical minerals.
