FYLD raises $41M to scale AI for infrastructure megaprojects

FYLD lands $41M Series B to expand AI tools for frontline work

FYLD, a London-based, female-founded startup building AI software for large-scale infrastructure delivery, has raised $41 million in a Series B round to scale its “frontline intelligence” platform globally. The financing was led by Energy Impact Partners LP (EIP), with participation from Partech via its Growth Impact Fund. Existing backer Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan also participated.

The company said the raise follows strong momentum in 2025, when it closed the year with 82% year-over-year growth, as infrastructure owners and contractors face rising pressure to deliver complex energy, water, and construction projects faster while improving safety and controlling costs.

Video-based AI aimed at safety, quality, and delivery

Co-founded by Shelley Copsey and Karl Simons OBE, FYLD replaces static reporting with short field videos that its AI analyzes to flag safety, quality, and delivery risks before they escalate. The company says the approach gives managers near real-time visibility into job conditions without additional site visits or expanded headcount, while automatically creating documentation for compliance and audits.

FYLD claims customers have reduced serious worksite injuries and incidents by up to 48% and can see value within four weeks of deployment—contrasting with legacy infrastructure software rollouts that can take far longer.

US expansion and leadership hires

During 2025, FYLD expanded in the US, adding customers including Kiewit Corporation, Quanta Services, Emery Sapp & Sons, and Sulzer, while continuing work with partners such as Ferrovial. The company expects more than 40% of revenue to come from the US by the end of 2026.

EIP Managing Partner for Europe Matthias Dill pointed to rising infrastructure demand—driven in part by data-center growth—saying FYLD’s video-based AI can improve productivity, enhance fieldworker safety, and deliver measurable ROI. The company also named Mohan Sadashiva as Chief Product and Technology Officer and Lee Griffin as Chief Revenue Officer.
