Electric Hydrogen, a manufacturer of HYPRPlant, a complete solution for industrial-scale renewable hydrogen production, announced the appointment of Bruno Forget as its General Manager for Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Forget will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction, ensuring the effective delivery and service engineering of HYPRPlant systems throughout Europe and MENA, and fostering the expansion of Electric Hydrogen‘s global reach.
Forget‘s extensive experience in the hydrogen industry spans over two decades, encompassing various leadership roles with prominent companies such as Air Liquide, Cummins, and Plug Power. His expertise covers the entire hydrogen value chain across Canada, Europe, and Asia.
This appointment underscores Electric Hydrogen‘s commitment to providing large-scale, cost-effective green hydrogen solutions in Europe and MENA. The company plans to leverage Forget’s leadership to expand its customer base and service offerings within the region.
Electric Hydrogen‘s HYPRPlant, a 100-megawatt-scale electrolyzer, is already slated for deployment in significant European projects. This includes Uniper‘s Green Wilhelmshaven 200-megawatt electrolyzer plant in Germany, and in the United States at Infinium‘s e-SAF facility in West Pecos, Texas. The system is designed for optimal compatibility with power systems technology from Ingeteam, a Spanish manufacturer.
Jason Mortimer, Senior Vice President of Global Commercial at Electric Hydrogen, stated that Forget‘s extensive knowledge of hydrogen markets and project delivery will be instrumental in meeting the growing European demand for HYPRPlant systems. He emphasized the importance of managing total installed costs and adhering to ambitious development timelines.
Forget expressed his enthusiasm for the role, highlighting the crucial part hydrogen will play in Europe‘s energy security and industrial competitiveness. He believes Electric Hydrogen is well-positioned to make renewable hydrogen economically viable.
Electric Hydrogen, established in 2020 and headquartered in Devens, Massachusetts, employs over 300 people in Europe and the United States. The company manufactures, delivers, and commissions high-capacity electrolyzers, aiming to make clean hydrogen projects economically feasible. Their HYPRPlant system incorporates all necessary components to efficiently convert water and electricity into renewable hydrogen.
