Chris Mean Leads Columbus‘ US Expansion

Chris Mean, Columbus UK CEO, adds US CEO responsibilities. This strategic move aims to boost transatlantic collaboration and leverage the strong existing relationship between the two markets, capitalizing on significant US growth.

Chris Mean, currently CEO of Columbus UK, has been appointed CEO of Columbus US, effective immediately. This expansion of his role aims to strengthen collaboration between the company’s European and American operations.

The move builds upon the already strong ties between Columbus‘ UK and US divisions. Both markets share many Microsoft Dynamics 365 customers, fostering synergies and positive developments. Specifically, the US business has experienced substantial growth, with a reported 30% increase. Meanwhile, the UK remains the largest Columbus business unit outside of Scandinavia.

Mean expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to further align the UK and US operations, anticipating that this enhanced collaboration will benefit both customers and employees. Søren Krogh Knudsen, President of Columbus, supported the decision, highlighting Mean‘s extensive experience within the company and the natural progression of this expanded role.

Beyond strengthening the existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 business in the US, Columbus also seeks to expand its M3 business in the UK. The US already possesses a well-established M3 base, which contributed significantly to the strong second-quarter financial results in that market.

Mean, working with the US leadership team, will focus on building upon the success of M3 and further developing the US Microsoft Dynamics 365 business. Knudsen emphasized the company’s ability to adapt to market demands and strategically position its personnel for optimal results.
