Çelebi Arıcılık Wins Top Prize at London Honey Awards 2025

Çelebi Arıcılık from Siirt won the Gold Medal at the 2025 London Honey Awards, surpassing competitors from 60 nations with its pure, natural cave honey.

Siirt, Turkey – Çelebi Arıcılık, headquartered in Siirt, has once again demonstrated Turkey’s strength in natural honey production on the international stage. At the London Honey Awards 2025, considered one of the most prestigious honey competitions in the world, the Turkish producer was awarded the Gold Medal by the jury, rising above hundreds of competitors from 60 different countries.

A Victory for Natural Production

Led by company founder Adem Çelebi, the brand’s production process is strictly defined by its refusal to use industrial methods. The honey is harvested from bee colonies located in the challenging geography of Siirt, specifically within high cliffs and natural caves.

Unlike mass-market products, this honey undergoes no human processing. It is collected exactly as nature presents it, without industrial straining or heating. This commitment to raw authenticity was a key factor in the product standing out for its “naturalness and originality” criteria at the awards.

Excellence in Every Drop

The London Honey Awards evaluates entries based on a rigorous set of standards, including aroma, taste, clarity, production method, mineral values, and sustainability.

Çelebi Arıcılık’s entry received full marks from the jury for its intense aroma, balanced flavor, and additive-free composition. The evaluation reports specifically praised the fact that the honey was obtained directly from natural combs, preserving its nutritional integrity.

“We Do Not Intervene in Nature”

Commenting on the victory, founder Adem Çelebi emphasized that this success is the result of years of labor and the unique flora of Siirt.

“There is no intervention in nature in our production philosophy. Our bees work completely in their natural environments. We simply take what they produce in its purest form,” said Çelebi.

Experts note that this specific method—harvesting from rocky areas and cave entrances—enhances both the mineral structure and the flavor profile of the honey, making it a functional food source as well as a delicacy.

A Milestone for Turkish Apiculture

The first-place finish at the London Honey 2025 is seen as a significant turning point not only for Çelebi Arıcılık but for the region of Siirt and the Turkish beekeeping industry. This achievement serves as global proof that traditional, sustainable beekeeping is highly valued on the world stage, promising greater recognition for the region’s natural potential.
