Aurasell, an AI-native CRM startup, has raised $30 million in a seed round to challenge legacy platforms by consolidating fragmented sales tools into one system.
Aurasell, a startup building a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform from an AI-first perspective, has officially announced the closing of a $30 million seed funding round. The investment was led by prominent venture capital firms Next47, Menlo Ventures, and Unusual Ventures. The company is positioning itself as a direct challenger to established players like Salesforce, aiming to solve long-standing issues of data fragmentation and inefficiency that plague modern sales teams. The funding will be used to further develop its unified platform, which integrates numerous sales functions into a single, intelligent workflow.
Addressing a Fragmented Market
According to Jason Eubanks, CEO and co-founder of Aurasell, the enterprise sales technology landscape has become overly complex over the past 25 years. He explained that the continuous addition of disconnected tools has created an inefficient and expensive infrastructure for sales organizations. Eubanks noted that this “Jenga stack” of software traps valuable data in separate silos, leading to a poor user experience and significant operational hurdles. He emphasized that sales teams are now spending more time on manual data entry and managing software updates than on their core function of selling, a problem Aurasell aims to solve by consolidating over 15 distinct tools into its platform.
Founders with Industry Experience
The leadership team at Aurasell brings extensive experience from high-growth technology companies. Eubanks previously served as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Harness, with a career in sales leadership spanning more than two decades. He is joined by co-founder Sri Bandi, the former SVP of Product & Engineering, also from Harness. Their collective background includes key roles at influential tech companies such as VMware, Nutanix, Meraki, and Twilio. Eubanks shared that the idea for Aurasell was born from his firsthand struggles as a CRO, where he faced the challenges of increasing SaaS costs and tool sprawl while trying to maximize sales productivity.
An AI-Native Foundation
Aurasell distinguishes its platform by highlighting that it is a true AI system of record, built entirely after 2022. This contrasts with legacy CRM systems that have attempted to add AI capabilities to older, pre-existing infrastructures. Eubanks stated that the platform is designed to change how organizations prospect, sell, and operate by embedding intelligent automation throughout the entire process. Its unified data model integrates ideal customer profiles, forecasting, conversation intelligence, and personalized outreach. The system utilizes agentic workflows, where custom AI agents collaborate with human users to streamline tasks. This foundational AI approach is expected to reduce software license fees by up to 50% and enhance overall sales productivity. Looking ahead, Eubanks indicated that Aurasell intends to apply the same AI-native strategy to disrupt the customer service and marketing technology markets.
