Maven Capital Partners backs Chorus Intelligence with £15M
Maven Capital Partners has invested £15 million in Chorus Intelligence, a UK company building digital investigation software used by law enforcement agencies, government bodies and corporate security teams. The deal was led by Maven’s UK Regional Buyout Fund II, marking the fund’s fourth completed transaction as it targets growth opportunities in the UK’s lower- to mid-market.
The investment comes as online and technology-enabled crime continues to increase, pushing investigators to manage growing volumes of digital evidence across many sources. Platforms that can rapidly connect datasets and automate analysis are becoming critical tools for modern casework.
Funding to deepen AI capabilities and expand overseas
Maven said the new capital will support product development, increased use of artificial intelligence across the platform and international expansion. Chorus Intelligence is also considering acquisitions as it looks to consolidate what it describes as a fragmented market for digital investigation tools.
“The entire Chorus team are delighted to welcome Maven to Chorus… as we accelerate our AI product roadmap, expand our global footprint and continue delivering exceptional value to our customers,” said Boyd Mulvey, Founder and Executive Chairman at Chorus.
Chorus builds investigation tools for complex data
Founded in 2011, Chorus Intelligence develops software designed to help analysts process large and complex datasets and organise information pulled from multiple sources. The company recently launched the Chorus Intelligence Suite (CIS), which automates analysis across both structured and unstructured data to help teams identify suspects, detect networks and strengthen evidentiary quality.
The software is being adopted across the UK and the US, where demand has risen alongside the growth of digital crime. Maven partner Tom Purkis said the CIS platform is already delivering measurable efficiency gains and return on investment for customers, and that Maven is backing the team to scale internationally and further enhance product capabilities.
