Gumloop raises $50M as Benchmark backs AI agents

Gumloop lands $50M Series B to scale workplace AI agents

Gumloop, a startup building software that helps companies automate everyday work with artificial intelligence, has raised $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Benchmark. The financing also included participation from Nexus Venture Partners, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, Box Group, The Cannon Project, and Shopify Ventures.

The company’s platform lets employees create AI agents and automation workflows that can take actions across common enterprise tools, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email. The goal is to make automation accessible to non-engineers, enabling teams to reduce repetitive work and standardize processes without relying solely on technical staff.

From no-code workflows to enterprise governance

Max Brodeur-Urbas co-founded Gumloop in mid-2023 with a focus on simplifying automation for business users. The product includes agents designed to monitor data, respond to requests, and complete routine tasks, alongside collaboration features that help organizations manage automations across departments.

In addition to automation, Gumloop has built a monitoring tool called Gumstack aimed at security and governance. The tool tracks how company data is used across AI tools and internal systems, recording activity from third-party AI platforms and custom-built agents so organizations can review access patterns and usage.

Rising demand for AI-driven productivity

Funding momentum reflects broader enterprise interest in AI automation as large language models improve and expand the range of tasks that agents can handle. Benchmark general partner Everett Randle said enterprises cite the product’s balance of capability and ease of use, along with the team’s customer focus, as drivers of adoption.

Gumloop says its platform is already used by companies including Shopify, Ramp, Gusto, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor.
