Eluvio, a video distribution technology provider, revealed significant partnerships with several prominent global sports organizations ahead of the IBC2025 conference in Amsterdam. These collaborations will see Eluvio‘s technology powering the next generation of direct-to-consumer (D2C) streaming for hundreds of live sporting events.
The United Rugby Championship (URC), Cricket Australia (CA), and WPALive.TV (the exclusive broadcast distributor for the World Pool Association) have all chosen Eluvio‘s Content Fabric and Application Suite. This suite offers a range of features including live streaming, extensive archiving capabilities, and sophisticated direct-to-fan monetization tools.
Eluvio‘s technology will facilitate the streaming of over 500 live events across multiple platforms. The company’s system provides high-definition streaming with automatic bandwidth adaptation, enabling a smooth viewing experience for users regardless of their internet connection speed. Furthermore, it includes robust monetization options, such as subscriptions, pay-per-view purchases, and advertising.
The Eluvio Content Fabric also handles live broadcast feed distribution, ensuring seamless transmission to affiliated broadcasters. This is accomplished using a secure, multi-path system with low latency. The platform also incorporates features for managing broadcast rights and preventing unauthorized access.
A key component of the partnerships involves the management of extensive video archives. Eluvio will process and store tens of thousands of hours of archived content, using AI for tagging, indexing, and highlight generation. This makes the archived content easily searchable, accessible, and monetizable.
Michelle Munson, Eluvio‘s CEO and co-founder, expressed pride in these partnerships, highlighting the technology’s ability to maximize revenue through expanded distribution and AI-powered personalization while simultaneously reducing the cost of video delivery.
Adam Redmond, Head of Broadcast & Communications at the URC, emphasized the importance of providing fans worldwide with an optimal viewing experience, citing Eluvio‘s cost-effective solution and proven track record.
Dan Allan, Senior Content Manager at Cricket Australia, noted the high expectations of cricket fans and the company’s excitement in leveraging Eluvio‘s video and AI capabilities to enhance the value of its extensive archive and live matches.
Glenn Weiland, CEO of Foresense Technologies (parent company of WPALive.TV), highlighted Eluvio‘s global reach and efficient protocol, enabling the launch of a truly global streaming platform for pool fans worldwide.
Eluvio plans extensive demonstrations and presentations at IBC2025, showcasing the full capabilities of its platform. Munson will deliver several keynote presentations, and the company will offer continuous live demos and meetings at its booth. The company will also be present in the IBC Future Tech Zone.
