500 Global, a leading venture capital firm, and dcamp, a prominent South Korean entrepreneurship foundation, have formed a strategic alliance to accelerate the growth of Korean startups aiming for US expansion.
The partnership will focus on identifying promising Korean startups ready for international growth and investment. These companies will gain access to 500 Global‘s flagship accelerator program in Silicon Valley.
Younghoon Park, CEO of dcamp, explained that the collaboration aims to combine Korea‘s entrepreneurial energy with the resources of Silicon Valley. He emphasized dcamp‘s commitment to providing Korean startups with the tools and opportunities for global success.
This partnership builds upon 500 Global‘s existing presence in Korea, dating back to 2012. Through local funds and programs, 500 Global has already supported numerous Korean startups in their global expansion efforts.
One example cited was CardMonster, an AI-powered gaming studio. After receiving seed funding from 500 Korea, CardMonster participated in the program’s US immersion program, connecting with mentors and industry leaders. They will be presenting at the upcoming 500 Global Flagship Demo Day in San Francisco.
Christine Tsai, CEO and Founding Partner of 500 Global, highlighted the firm’s belief in the global talent pool. She stated that Korea‘s dynamic startup ecosystem is poised for significant global impact, and this partnership will help connect Korean founders with Silicon Valley‘s resources and networks.
The partnership was officially launched at a signing ceremony at 500 Global‘s Palo Alto headquarters on August 28, 2025, attended by both Tsai and Park. The event symbolized the shared commitment to fostering global entrepreneurial success.
