Smartee Denti-Technology, a clear aligner solutions provider, and Dental Monitoring, a leader in AI-powered orthodontic remote monitoring, announced a new system integration. This collaboration aims to improve efficiency in orthodontic treatment refinements.
Traditionally, refining clear aligner treatments required patients to attend in-office appointments for intraoral scans. These scans were then sent to Smartee for new treatment plan generation. This process was time-consuming for both patients and orthodontists.
The new integration between Smartee and Dental Monitoring streamlines this procedure. Patients use the Dental Monitoring app to capture an oral scan. This data is automatically transferred to the Smartee platform.
Smartee clinicians can then access this data and create a SmartSTL file. This file combines the initial intraoral scan, the current Smartee treatment plan stage, and the new patient scan. The updated SmartSTL file eliminates the need for additional in-office scans and visits.
This streamlined workflow is now accessible to Smartee clinicians globally, including the EU, Asia-Pacific, North, Central, and South America. Clinicians can access the feature within the Smartee case management system.
Smartee, founded in 2004, offers clear aligners and digital orthodontic solutions. The company operates four research and development centers and four manufacturing facilities in China and Spain. Smartee serves over 99,000 clinicians in more than 57 countries.
Dental Monitoring offers the orthodontic industry’s first AI-powered remote monitoring solution with FDA De Novo approval and MDR certification. Their technology enhances clinical oversight, optimizes workflows, and improves the patient experience by providing real-time treatment updates.
This partnership between Smartee and Dental Monitoring aims to modernize orthodontic care, offering increased efficiency and convenience for both clinicians and patients. The integration represents a significant advancement in digital orthodontic technology.
