Everdrone raises €3.4M to expand E3 medical drones

Everdrone secures €3.4M to expand emergency drone coverage

Gothenburg-based Everdrone has closed a €3.4 million funding round to accelerate the rollout of its E3 medical drone system across Sweden’s Västra Götaland region. The expansion is designed to shorten the time it takes to get a defibrillator to people suffering cardiac arrest, with the company targeting deliveries in as little as three minutes.

The company says its drones can beat traditional ambulance response times, particularly in Sweden’s challenging winter conditions where weather and distance can slow road-based emergency services. By dispatching drones directly to the incident location, the system aims to bridge the critical gap between an emergency call and the start of life-saving treatment.

Faster access to defibrillators

In out-of-hospital cardiac arrest cases, minutes can determine outcomes. Everdrone positions its drone network as a way to deliver an automated external defibrillator (AED) rapidly, enabling bystanders and first responders to begin treatment before an ambulance arrives. The company’s E3 platform is built around quick dispatch, direct routing, and operations intended to remain reliable even in harsh weather.

Regional rollout in Västra Götaland

The new funding is expected to support broader regional coverage, including additional drones and operational capacity to extend service reach across Västra Götaland. The initiative reflects growing interest in drone-enabled emergency response as healthcare systems look for new tools to improve time-to-care and resilience during severe weather events.

Everdrone did not disclose investor details in the announcement, but said the capital will be used to scale deployment and help bring faster AED access to more communities throughout the region.
